Bernhoff A. Dahl, M.D., a native of Hackensack, N.J., earned a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Bible, an M.D. degree, completed Internship and Pathology Residency, and was an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer with the CDC. In 1972 he was named Chief of Pathology at the Eastern Maine Medical Center, co-founded Dahl-Chase Pathology Associates, and served as its managing partner until 1995.

During his 25 years of “in-the-trenches” group medical practice, he became an expert on organizational design (with an interest in synergy…flattened hierarchy) and dynamics, leadership issues and skills with a focus on strategic planning. For the past 12 years he has enjoyed “early retirement” complete with traveling, mountaineering, public service, and serving as a consultant and investor within and outside of medicine and healthcare.
